Just realized today is THRIT’N THURSDAY, and unfortunately I have forgotten about it and currently only wearing one item from the thrift store. However, I will try to remember for next week and you can always check last weeks THRIFT’N THURSDAY out. SORRY!
Thrift’n Thursday
Apologies for not blogging in the last couples weeks. I’m still going through the transition into the college life. However, I tend to blog on a more regular bases. Today I decided to represent Thrift’n Thursday. It’s pretty self-explanitory, I will only be wearing clothes from the T-Stores on Thursdays. In the following PICS: Sporting a graphic lion T, grey jersey knit mini skirt, Coach Fanny Pac, and some rock’n faux oxfords. ALL THRIFTED. Continue reading
College Bound Brunch
It’s a bitter sweet feeling… and taste ( because of the buttermilk pancake). Today marks a week before I head off for college. To celebrate my mom and I went out for brunch at a little dinner in Portland, Stepping Stone Cafe. Recognized on the television show Man vs Food for there giant pancakes. I had an omelete (finished on the right) and also ONE of their famous buttermilk pancakes (center/left).
Items I WOOD love to have
Straying from the norm is what I love to do. Thats why I love to thrift store shop. When you find an item chances are you wont find the same thing like it, unlike in a store where you can buy in bulk. I’m going to admit it takes time finding those few unique items that you absolutely love. Two items that i have come across over the last few months are Shwood Eyewear and the Bike Shelf. My graphic design teacher introduced me to Shwood during class, and actually I got to meet one of the founders. He was a honest and laid back man. The whole concept of glasses being made out of wood is simple but in some way it just works. The next item (Bike Shelf) I happened to stumble upon while roaming the Big 3 W’s (world wide web). It too is a simple design that lets you hang your bike up, oh yeah and books! With these items you’re not falling far from the tree, the designs are simple showing the natural beauty of the woods. These are not low priced items, but ARE affordable. Both items I WOOD love to purchase in the near future.
Mixing it Up
Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t mix patterns. Last time I checked they’re were no rules to style or fashion. However, when mixing patters I would suggest having one piece be subtle. Continue reading
Feather Earrings
Feathers, Feathers, and more Feathers. If you ask me it’s a pillow fight gone good. There are people infusing their hair in feathers, wearing them in headband forms, and also hanging them from their ears. It may be sad to say, but I have also partaken in the feather frenzy! Continue reading
Customizing Storage
I’m always trying to find new ways to customize objects to give it a little bit of personality. Here, I decided to take a plan metal tin and add some magazine clippings to it. Continue reading
Coral&Teal all for a steal.
I’m not going to lie I take pride in my closet. Maybe because it represents who I am, or maybe because half the clothes hanging up are from the thrift store, hand picked and bought at the fraction of the price if bought at a retail store. But enough with my closet and more about my Coral&Teal outfit. Continue reading

Rag & Bones
My recent fascination with skulls inspired me to create this wall decoration and/or table piece. Unfortunately I started this project pre-blog era so there are no before and after pictures. However, I will give you a play by play on how the creation came to be. The skull was saved by me right before going in the trash by some neighbor. Like the saying goes one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Later I gave it a little TLC with the help of a toothbrush and a cup of bleach, a fresh coat of paint (spray paint), and added some lace and fabric using mod podge. There you have it, a one of a kind wall or table piece.
